According to the official website of the People's Government of Xinyang City, Henan Province, at about 4:30 a.m. on March 13, 2020, when the Foxin Mining Industry Co., Ltd. of Pingqiao District, Xinyang City, Henan Province was carrying out preparatory work before the start of cleaning roadways and dredging pipelines, a mine flooding accident occurred. A total of 9 people were working underground at the time of the accident, of which 2 were safely lifted and 7 were trapped underground. At present, 2 people have been searched and rescued, and there are no vital signs. The remaining 5 people are still trapped underground. Rescue work is underway.
