According to the structural principle of the core rod jacking mechanical reamer, a special hydraulic propeller was developed. The hydraulic thruster is installed at the tail of the triangular core rod hole-making drill pipe. The hydraulic thruster not only has the function of supplying pressure water to the drill bit, but also has a hydraulic core rod mechanism to provide the central axis to the hole-making drill pipe. Thrust, its structure principle is shown in the figure.

The hydraulic propeller is mainly composed of oil inlet and return joints, hydraulic cylinders, pistons, hydraulic core rods and water supply ports. During normal drilling, pressurized water can be delivered to the drill bit through the water supply joint of the hydraulic thruster for cooling and slag discharge. When the drill pipe is reamed and cavity is created, hydraulic oil is supplied to the hydraulic cylinder of the hydraulic thruster to make the piston move forward, so that the hydraulic core rod and the piston move synchronously. When the hydraulic core rod moves forward, the core rod moves forward, and the hinged blades on both sides of the reamer are opened; when the reaming construction is completed, adjust the oil inlet and return direction of the hydraulic cylinder to make the piston and the hydraulic core rod retreat and reset, and the core rod of the triangular core rod hole-making drill rod and the mechanical core rod of the reamer are reset under the action of the spring to complete the reaming hole-making construction there. The hydraulic drive mechanism of the hydraulic thruster uses hydraulic oil as the power output, which can provide 50kN axial thrust to the core rod of the hole-making drill pipe. It is suitable for mechanical hole-making of coal bodies with a Platts coefficient less than 8. The hydraulic thruster has a compact structure, reliable drive, simple operation, and is convenient for installation and disassembly in a small underground space.
