R780 Geological Pipe-Purpose
Drill pipe:
The rod in the drilling tool that connects the drill bit to transmit power. The usual components of the drill string are: drill bit, drill collar, drill pipe, stabilizer, special joint and kelly. The basic functions of the drill pipe are:(1) tripping the drill head;(2) applying weight on bit;(3) transmitting power;(4) transporting drilling fluid;(5) carrying out special operations: squeezing cement, handling downhole accidents, etc.

It is located in the lowest part of the drill string and is the main component of the BHA. Its main features are large wall thickness (generally 38~53mm, equivalent to 4~6 times of the drill pipe wall thickness), with large gravity and rigidity, it mainly plays the following roles in the drilling process:

(2) to ensure the necessary strength under compression conditions;
(3) Reduce the vibration, swing, and beating of the drill bit, so that the drill bit works smoothly;
(4) Control well deviation.
Drill collars come in many different shapes, such as round, square, triangular and spiral. The most commonly used are round (smooth) drill collars and spiral drill collars.

The pipe section located at the lowest part of the pipe well to accommodate sand particles entering the well and precipitates precipitated from the water.

In order to find out the underground rock structure, underground water, oil, natural gas and mineral resources, drilling rig is used to drill wells. Oil and natural gas extraction is inseparable from drilling. Commonly used steel numbers are 45MnB and 50Mn of DZ45; 40Mn2 and 40Mn2Si of DZ50; 40Mn2Mo and 40MnVB of DZ55; 40MnMoB of DZ60 and 27MnMoVB of DZ65. Steel pipes are delivered in a heat-treated state.
