Coal mine spontaneous combustion has a great threat to the overall production safety of coal mines, and also restricts the production and operation of coal mines to a certain extent. Among them, coal mine spontaneous combustion in goaf has the largest proportion in the whole coal mine spontaneous combustion, which is about 60% of the whole. Most of the fire problems are caused by air leakage. The details are as follows: (1) There are problems in the closure of upper and lower alleys in the mining area during the mining process, which cannot be truly sealed, resulting in air leakage in the closed wall. (2) Continuous mining operations through adjacent stages without coal pillars, resulting in no isolation zone in the upper and lower stages, and the next stage in the mining.

(2) The continuous mining operation is carried out in the way of no coal pillar in the adjacent stage, resulting in no isolation zone in the upper and lower stages, and the time between the lower stage and the upper stage after mining is relatively short, resulting in the problem of air leakage in the goaf in the upper stage of mining in the lower stage.
(3) The problem of the support in the stop line of the working face and the goaf around the upper and lower roadways, because the support of the coal pillar itself is limited, and the rock in the roof is not sufficient, resulting in the emergence of air leakage problems.
(4) In the actual mining process, through the process of fully mechanized top coal caving, the recovery rate is relatively low, resulting in a large number of residual coal between the opening and cutting, the stop line and the upper and lower lanes.
