1 quality control of drilling tools

The operating tools used for rock drilling, namely, drill tail, drill rod, connecting rod sleeve, drill head and integral drill, are collectively referred to as drill tools. In the drilling operation of rock drilling jumbo, the use of drill bit and drill rod has the greatest influence on the drilling quality.

The use and management of 1.1 solder brazing head

During the use of the drill bit, once the wear amount of the drill bit button exceeds 1/2, the risk of damage to the drill bit will greatly increase. Once the drill bit is damaged and continues to be used, not only the drilling efficiency will be greatly reduced, but also the quality of the drilling will be difficult to guarantee.

Using a damaged drill bit (as shown in Figure 1) to continue drilling can easily cause the drilling trajectory to deviate from the predetermined plan. The worn bit is shown in Figure 1.

Many operators do not pay attention to the use of the drill bit, thinking that the drill bit has only one service life and must be replaced when it is used up. Do a good job in the use of drill bit management is not difficult, regular grinding drill bit can be. Generally speaking, the drill bit used in the rock drilling rig can be ground at least 10 times. The service life and drilling efficiency of the drill bit can be greatly extended by grinding the drill bit, and the drilling quality can be improved.

Use and management of 1.2 brazing rods

The use of poor quality drill rods or drill rods after long-term bending and deformation will affect the quality of drilling. Once the drill rod is bent and deformed (see Figure 2), it will change the drilling trajectory. At this point, even though the propeller rail is straight, the drilled hole is still biased. In this case, it is easy to appear "string holes" (two holes hit together), resulting in over-excavation and under-excavation during blasting.

Do a good job in the use of drill rod management, first of all, should start from the selection of drill rod, should choose good quality, good toughness and not easy to bend the drill rod; Secondly, in the process of drilling jumbo drilling, should always check whether the drill rod bending deformation, if the drill rod bending can not return, should be timely replacement of new drill rod.

2 Rock drill working parameter control

The working parameters of rock drill mainly include buffer pressure, impact pressure, propulsion pressure, rotation speed and so on. Among these parameters, the one that has the greatest impact on the quality of the borehole is the propulsion pressure. If the pushing pressure of the rock drill is set too large, the drill rod is prone to bending during the drilling process, as shown in Figure 3. Once the drill rod is bent, it will affect the drilling quality.

The key to the control of working parameters is that the operator sets the propulsion pressure of the rock drill reasonably. It is advisable to set the pushing pressure so as not to affect the normal drilling forward of the rock drill and not to cause the drill rod to bend when it is pushed forward.

3 Control of borehole positioning

Drilling positioning directly affects the quality of drilling, positioning is not accurate, the whole drilling process will certainly appear deviation. In the drilling positioning operation, many operators often extend the drill rod 0.5~1m for positioning and drilling in order to facilitate positioning, as shown in fig. 4. When the drill rod is extended for positioning and drilling, the drill bit is easy to slip, swing and deviate from the original positioning position. In addition, the drill rod extends for positioning, which is easy to cause the drill rod to bend, resulting in the change of the drilling direction, and finally the deviation of the drilling hole position and direction.

The key to the control of drilling positioning lies in the operator mastering the drilling positioning skills and standardizing the drilling positioning operation. When the operator performs drilling positioning, the thruster top plate should be tightly attached to the rock surface to prevent the drill bit position from being offset or the drilling direction from changing during the drilling process. After the positioning is completed, the drilling and drilling operations shall be carried out in sequence. Do not extend the drill rod for positioning and drilling operations.

4 Control of drilling process

In the drilling process, the operating handles involved mainly include slag flushing water handle, rotary handle, impact handle and push handle, as shown in Figure 5. Although the handle is not much, but the operation process is standardized. If the operator does not operate according to the specification, it will lead to poor drilling quality. If the impact handle is turned on first and then the rotary handle is turned on during operation, it is easy to cause inaccurate opening position; if the push handle is turned on first and then the rotary handle is turned on during operation, it is easy to cause bending of the drill rod and inaccurate opening direction; if the impact handle is switched from low impact to high impact too fast during operation, it is easy to cause high temperature and damage of the drill bit.

The key to the control of the drilling process is that the operator strictly follows the operating procedures. The drilling operation specifications after the positioning is completed by using the drilling arm are as follows: start the slag flushing water handle first, then open the rotary handle and start the impact handle, and pay attention to pulling the impact handle to the low impact position; At the same time, start the push handle to carry out drilling operation. After the drilling operation is completed (the drilling depth of the drill bit is about 5~10cm), switch the impact handle to the high impact position for normal drilling operation. Drilling operation, the rock drill automatically returns (with travel switch), or manually pulls the push handle to the rear position (without travel switch); after the drill bit is completely withdrawn, pull all the handles to the 0 position for the next drilling cycle.

5 Control of equipment quality

The drilling operation of the rock jumbo is mainly completed by the working devices such as the drilling arm and the thruster in cooperation with the rock drill, as shown in Figure 6. In the process of drilling, the performance quality of drilling boom and thruster will also affect the quality of drilling. The movement of the drill arm and the propeller is completed by the hydraulic cylinder, and both ends of the hydraulic cylinder are fixed by the expansion pin. Once the expansion pin is seriously worn, the drilling arm and propeller will not move smoothly, slip and vibration will increase, which will cause inaccurate drilling positioning. Internal leakage of hydraulic cylinder or leakage of hydraulic oil pipe will cause creep and subsidence of drill arm and thruster, resulting in inaccurate drilling positioning. If the slider of thruster holder is worn, the rock drill will shake during traction, resulting in drilling positioning deviation. If the thruster beam is bent, the guide rail is bent and deformed, which will cause the rock drill not to run in a straight line, resulting in drilling direction deviation.

The key to the quality control of the equipment is that the operator should pay attention to the maintenance and repair of the drill arm and the propeller. First of all, it is necessary to carry out maintenance in time, and do a good job in lubricating the drill arm, propeller pin and other parts; secondly, it is necessary to repair the worn and deformed parts in time, and replace the severely worn expansion pin, propeller slider, and sliding guide in time; Finally, it is necessary to reshape the deformed propulsion beam, and repair the leaking hydraulic cylinder in time.
