1. The first tightening of the new drill pipe joint and the first several times of drilling are the key to prolong the service life of the joint. When the new joint is used for the first time, attention must be paid to: when the screw pattern is not aligned, avoid forcible fastening. When buckling, the crest of the new thread will sometimes resist each other. It should be slightly reversed and buckled after the thread is not top. Fasten it slowly, then tighten it with a sling.
2. The threads and shoulders of male and female joints must be thoroughly wiped clean before connection. After cleaning, be sure to dry the thread to ensure that the thread oil can be well attached to the thread surface.
3. After cleaning the joint, check the thread and shoulder in detail. The damaged joint must not go down the well. Even minor damage may cause the connection to leak or loosen. Damaged joints should be repaired in time.
4. When the drill pipe is moving and on the drilling frame, wear a wire guard to prevent the drill pipe joint from being damaged. Place unused drill pipe and drill pipe joints, and tighten the clean drill pipe thread guard cap with your hand, which is of great benefit to the protection of shoulder and thread.
Maintenance Management and Use of Drill Pipe
I. The following provisions shall be observed when transporting drill pipes by heavy-duty vehicles
1. The drill pipe must be placed on the long cushion and tied with a rope.
2. When loading, the male or female joints of the drill pipe should be installed at both ends of the vehicle respectively, and the male and female joints should not be mixed together.
3. In order to prevent friction damage to the shoulder of adjacent joints, isolation measures must be taken to wrap the joints.
4. After a short period of transportation, stop for inspection and re-tie the rope.
Second, the ship of drill pipe, should comply with the following provisions
1. For shipping drill pipes, the male and female joints must wear thread protectors.
2. Put the drill pipe on the sleeper. Sleepers are spaced about 3 meters apart, and sleepers need to be padded to the same level.
3. Each layer of drill pipe shall be paved with small boards as intervals. The board, deck and sleepers shall be on the same vertical plane.
4. Each layer of drill pipe shall be blocked. All drill pipes shall be bundled with wire ropes with a certain tension.
Three, loading and unloading drill pipe, should comply with the following items
1. Before unloading the drill pipe, ensure that the thread protector is tightened intact.
2, to avoid rough loading and unloading, because it may drop the drill pipe out of the pit.
3. Don't drop the drill pipe when unloading it, and don't let the end of the drill pipe collide, because even if there is a thread protector, the thread may be damaged.
4. The unloaded drill pipes must be neatly stacked together.
5. The drill pipe joint is subjected to huge torque during work. If there is no oil film between the joint threads, the threads will wear and buckle under huge torque. The thread oil can play the role of this oil film, and the right thread oil also helps to reduce excessive thread tightening. Contains 40 ~ 60% by weight of fine zinc powder thread oil, with ideal performance. The thread oil should not be too thin for the convenience of application, because the diluted thread oil will reduce the effect of filling metal materials, thus causing the thread oil to fail.
6. The thread of each joint must be cleaned and dried before entering the well. The thread and meshing surface of the female joint shall be evenly coated with thread oil.
7. When lowering the butt buckle of the drill pipe, the end of the male joint shall not impact the shoulder of the female joint.
8. Before screwing, the male and female joints must be aligned. When the joint swings and the phenomenon of jam, can not use high-speed rotary buckle, otherwise it will burn the thread.
9. Avoid forcibly screwing the thread with poor joint. When buckling, the top of the male buckle tooth may be located on the top of the corresponding female buckle tooth, causing clamping effect. If the buckle is forced, serious damage will be caused.
10, drill pipe out of the well lower elevator, do not let the elevator or hook hit the female joint shoulder.
11. Clean the drill pipe box when discharging the drill pipe stand. Do not use pliers jaws or other sharp tools to pry the stand if misalignment occurs when discharging the stand to prevent damage to the joint shoulder.
12. After the drill pipe is used, the appearance and interior of the drill pipe must be washed with clean water, and antirust oil must be applied to the joint thread and shoulder. Before the drill pipe is pulled out of the gate, wear a thread protector.
13. Damaged drill pipe shall not be lowered into the well. If you connect a damaged male connector to an undamaged female connector, you can damage the female connector and vice versa.
Therefore, visual inspection of the drill pipe should be emphasized. Therefore, when tripping, the roughneck should carefully check the following points. If abnormal phenomena occur, timely measures should be taken.
(1) Whether the thread and shoulder of male and female joints are "dry.
(2) The fitting shoulder is free from defects or scratches.
(3) Whether the thread of the joint is twisted or not.
(4) the wear of the joint.
