The drill pipe must be able to withstand huge internal and external pressure, distortion, bending and vibration, so the wear of the drill pipe is a very serious problem. When the drill pipe is worn to a certain extent, it should be replaced with a new one. The drill pipe is a steel pipe with a thread at the tail, which is used to connect the surface equipment of the drilling rig and the drilling equipment or bottom hole device at the bottom of the drilling. The purpose of the drill pipe is to carry drilling mud to the drill bit and raise, lower or rotate the bottom hole device together with the drill bit. In the production of drill pipe, the internal organization of the drill pipe will change during the heating and cooling process. Heat treatment usually eliminates the coarse-grained tissue inside the drill pipe, so that its structure is refined and can be more affected.

Stress. The smooth pipe and the raw steel pipe are made into a drill pipe after a number of processing steps. First, through the treatment of the steel pipe thickening process, the outer surface of the smooth tube is bent inward, and the steel pipe wall is thickened. Next, thread processing is performed and plated with copper to increase strength. A non-destructive quality control inspection is then performed, followed by welding of the steel pipe body joint. Then, the tube body is subjected to a welding heat treatment and a welding final treatment to eliminate the welding residual pressure.
