At the same time, we can also control the settling speed of soil slag by changing the specific gravity difference between soil slag and mud and increasing or decreasing the viscosity of mud. For example, we should try to reduce the settling speed of soil slag and adapt to increasing the specific gravity and viscosity when preparing mud. On the contrary, we can reduce the specific gravity and viscosity to speed up the settling speed of soil slag of rotary drilling rig.

What if the slag at the bottom of the hole does not reach the standard? For this reason, we must clean the hole. Otherwise, the settlement of the pile top is large and the bearing limit value is reduced. The common methods for hole cleaning of rotary drilling rigs are settlement method and replacement method. The so-called settlement method is to clean the hole after the hole is finished, and the replacement method is to clean the hole bottom immediately after the hole is finished, that is, a method of replacing the mud in the hole with newly prepared mud before the mud has not been deposited from the mud.

For positive and negative circulation drilling, it is appropriate to use slurry exchange to clean the hole, because it can use its own rotary drilling rig drill pipe for positive and negative circulation slurry exchange, while the rotary drilling pipe does not have the function of conveying circulating liquid. To use this method to clean the hole, it is necessary to reprepare the drill pipe and corresponding rotary drilling rig equipment, which is obviously not feasible. However, the settlement method is commonly used by conduit suction pump method, air lifting method and submersible mud pump method.

These methods also have some problems in use, mainly the influence range of the slag suction port. When the aperture is 1.5 meters, if the position of the slag suction port cannot be moved or the bottom of the hole is not stirred by tools, it is difficult to remove the drilling slag far away from the radius.
