After the pump is stopped, in order to prevent the fracture from reclosing under the gravity of the upper rock, it is necessary to add some proppant such as quartz sand to the fracturing fluid injected into the formation, and fill the proppant in the compressed fracture, which can play the role of supporting the fracture surface.
