Rigid Body Material
At present, the main material of diamond drill bit rigid body in China is DZ50/DZ40/45# steel, of which DZ40 is the most commonly used, and its cost performance is the highest. However, if some manufacturers use inferior steel as raw materials than 45# steel, it is extremely easy to reproduce the situation of rigid body cracking. In fact, it is very unwise to apply inferior steel, because the cost difference between a good rigid body and inferior rigid body will not be more than 2 yuan money. Therefore, generally no manufacturer will use inferior rigid bodies.
Drilling operations
This is the main reason for the rigid body cracking of the diamond drill bit. When drilling some complicated broken rock layers, pebble layers or filled stone layers, due to the large accumulation of small stones in the inner cavity of the drill bit and the torque of up to 300kg applied by the drilling rig, if the drill bit does not enter the footage at this time or the footage is slow, the gravel in the inner cavity will easily crack the rigid body of the drill bit.
Human operation
Due to the mixed fish and dragons in the drilling industry, it is not ruled out that some low-quality captain uses man-made destruction to crack the rigid body of the drill bit. The purpose of doing so is to obtain the after-sales service of the new drill bit replaced by the manufacturer.
In fact, each manufacturer has its own way of identifying the causes of rigid body cracking, and of course it is rarely announced to the public. Through man-made destruction caused by this kind of cracking phenomenon is very easy to identify, for this kind of dishonest behavior we are abhorrent, as a qualified drilling captain, should think of how to improve the service life of diamond bits, rather than opportunistic harm to others.
